Setup Process

  1. Open Start -> Control Panel and then double click the Mail icon
  2. Click the Email Accounts button

  3. Make sure there are no Microsoft Exchange accounts in this section, then click New

  4. Make sure the Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP radio button is selected and click Next

  5. Select the Manually Configure Server Settings checkbox and click Next

  6. Select the Microsoft Exchange radio button and click Next

  7. Enter crucial1.grangewood.local as the Microsoft Exchange Server, check the Use Cached Exchange checkbox, enter your User Name and then click the More Settings button

  8. Click the Security tab and ensure that the Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange checkbox is ticked. Also the Logon network security dropdown should be set to Negotiate Authentication

  9. Click the Connection tab and tick the Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP checkbox, then click the Exchange Proxy Settings button

  10. Enter the proxy server URL as mail.tecnovate.com.au and make sure the Connect using SSL only checkbox is ticked. The On slow networks box should also be ticked. The Proxy Authentication Settings dropdown should be set to NTLM Authentication

  11. Click OK on that screen and the next. You will now be back at the original Step 7 screen. Clicking Next will attempt to connect to the Exchange Server for the first time, and will therefore pop up a password prompt. Enter your username and password. Note that this prompt will appear every time you open your new account in Outlook

  12. You may be prompted twice, but eventually you will get to the account confirmation screen. You have now finished setting up your new hosted Exchange account!
