Software runs my life

Flickrtoplus.com now supports Google Photos

Google Photos iconGoogle Plus photos has been split out into a separate product, Google Photos. As part of this move there were some API changes, in particular an newly enforced requirement to use OAuth 2.0. With some help we managed to get the tool updated after a period of 1-2 weeks of downtime in late June 2015.

Usage volumes have since been steadily increasing: over the period June – December 2015 daily usage has doubled. I’m not sure whether it’s due to a decline in Flickr usage, and increase in Google Photos usage, or a combination of both (my guess). I need to spend some time working on improving the efficiency of the tool over the holiday period, but until then would ask for your patience. It’s working, it’s just a bit backlogged.

    Hello,

This tool should do exactly what I need. I successfully went through steps 1 and 2 – logging into Flickr and Picasa/Google – and a list of all Flickr albums was displayed. I selected two of them, one with a single picture, one with 104 pictures, both with format Original. Both went into state Processing, and have now been in that state for almost 24 hours. In Google Photos, I can see that both albums have been created, but they are both empty. Any idea what’s going on?

    Regards
    Peter

    Hi,

came across this site when I was using Flickr to Plus. the interface is fantastic but as you mention the site is probably experiencing a lot of load.

do you have any stats to help set expectations? I kicked the job off about 6 hours ago without a single photo arriving in Google Photos, although I can see all the folder names there.

if you could give us some rough stats based on what you’re seeing on your site, that would be great.

    Hi,

    Is Flicktoplus still working?

    Thanks

Hi Scott, just to say that I think they broke it again, it’s copied across the album names but none of the photos, it’s been saying processing for weeks now and the one album it thinks it has completed is empty. Any chance of a fix coming some time soon, I guess you’re quite busy but it’s a great idea and I’d really like it to work!
    Cheers
    Helen.

I queued up a bunch of photos in flickrtoplus.., and for two days they have been ‘processing’. What now?

  10. Hello Scott, Is the flickrtoplus tool still valid for the current versions of Flickr and Google Plus?
